Constructed in 1951, these 36 properties located in Bellsmyre, are one of the 34000 non-traditional, British Iron and Steel Federation houses (BISF) built in the UK following the Second World War. The houses are a semi-detached two floor steel frame construction with a solid ground floor and tiled roof.

Working with Bellsmyre Housing Association, we proposed costed energy efficiency, comfort and services improvements to ensure the houses met the EESSH (Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing) and extended their life by another 30 years.
