We are working with Glasgow Building Preservation Trust, Ardenglen Housing Association and the Mitchelhill Community Group to restore the former St Martin’s Church in Castlemilk. Proposals are for a variety of community facilities and to support the increased use of Cathkin Braes for outdoor recreation and sporting events.

This B-listed church was completed in 1961 by Glasgow firm Gillespie, Kidd and Coia during the period in which Andy MacMillan and Isi Metzstein led the practices design output, the firm was renowned for their unique take on modernism, as well as their church architecture. The building is in a dilapidated state and requires works to renew the external fabric of the building, prevent water ingress and improve the thermal performance of the building envelope.
