A large-scale development and regeneration action plan for Maryhill in Glasgow involving over 1200 houses, district centre and community facilities. We worked extensively with the community and stakeholders to produce urban design and infrastructure changes as well and developing newbuild and refurbishment options for housing.
Extensive community consultation included public discussion through open days and setting up street venues to interview people about the plans and issues of the area. Plans were based on walkable, sustainable, new suburbs and included strategies for phasing, re-housing and infrastructure. In support of our masterplan, we provided a pragmatic action plan including cost reports, economic and social regeneration initiatives and prepared a greenspace strategy.
